I have already heard from the pundits multiple times that the debates will be graded on a curve, and after Lauer, who can doubt that this is true…
so let's determine what that curve will be.
for Clinton:
1. If she coughs, then she loses...obviously that means that even though her dr said that she just had mild pneumonia, it must be something worse.
2. If she is serious, she loses...she needs to smile, and be more personable and relatable…
3. if she sighs, she loses...because she has to be respectful (and she better not dare pick lint off her shirt!)…
4. If she sounds like she knows a lot about the issues, she loses...because no one likes a know it all — especially as a president…
for trump:
1. If he doesn't punch anyone, he wins…because he has remarkable self control...
2. If he doesn't seem certifiably insane, he wins…because he sounds presidential…
3. If he doesn't apologize, he wins...because he sounds so strong…
4. If he shrivels up because he is actually a weak scared little man who only acts tough when he is in his safe place, then he wins...because he wasn't rude to her face…
I think the bar is set so low for him that if she can't goad him into being disgraceful to her face, then they are going to claim that he won the debate...i hope that I am wrong, but after the pundits being so mad on Friday and then basically getting steamrolled today, I don't hold out much hope...
any others you you can think of?
